AIRSTREAMS & DREAMS

For some reason my eyes are drawn to Airstream trailers like a moth to a flame. To me they represent escapism and not just via a road trip. I like the shiny spaceship look to them...so modern and timeless.

And why is it that people photographed in front of an Airstream just appear so interesting...even hipper...

Some people even use them in their wedding photos...

And decorating the interiors gives so much opportunity for creativity...kind of like a grownup playhouse

I might have to get some of these...

Or

And there is even an Airstream Ranch for the lovely departeds

When I grow up, I want to have an Airstream :-)

Marfa, TX / El Cosmico

Drawn to Marfa, TX although I've never been.  Keep stumbling upon articles about the town in my design magazines.  In the desert in West TX.  You can go and watch the Marfa Lights at night, fly a glider plane over the desert or grab a bite from the Food Shark.  No Country for Old Men and There Will Be Blood were both shot in Marfa...as well as the movie Giant with Elizabeth Taylor, Rock Hudson, and James Dean.  Hotelier, Liz Lambert has at least two great hotels there...The Thunderbird and El Cosmico, my favorite.

Lucky Passengers

Fisherman's Wharf Carousel

Awesome summer morning started with breakfast out on the patio.  Then walk around Sausalito and ferry to San Francisco Ferry Building with my dear friend Diana for yummy Cowgirl Creamery cheeses, Artisian Bakery bread and of course had to have some traditional clam chowder with a glass of chardonnay.  Followed by a trip in a Pedi Cab to Fisherman's Wharf to shoot some photos.  Loved the colors around the carousel and all the blooming flowers.  Then cab through China Town, down the Lombard curvy street, and then back to Sausalito. Diana surprised me with Keith Richards' new book Life. Beautiful evening!!!
